Meet the Doctors
Charles Rheeman, M.D.
Dr. Rheeman is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in neuro-ophthalmology
including eye muscle surgery, and oculoplastics. He graduated with a bachelor's
degree from University of California, San Diego. He received his medical degree
from Albany Medical College, where he also completed residency program in Ophthalmology.
Following his residency program, he finished a fellowship program in neuro-ophthalmology
and oculoplastics with Dr. Gregory Krohel at Albany Medical College.
Dr. Rheeman provides specialized medical and surgical care in neuro-ophthalmology
and oculoplastics. Common problems Dr. Rheeman takes care of include, but are
not limited to, optic nerve pathology, diplopia (double vision), visual field
defects, ptosis (droopy eyelid), ectropion (eyelid turning out), entropion (eyelid
turning in), benign and malignant eyelid and orbital tumors, stye (chalazion),
and thyroid related eye problems. He has admitting and operating privileges
at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
